Use this simple technique. More Clients Guaranteed.

In 2016, I started my first blog, clueless to the process, and somehow fell smack into 12 million hits. I couldn’t believe it, my blogs were just little essays about dating and being in my 20’s and yet it garnered the attention of millions. The potential was infinite.

So, I got smart! I refined my content, and began offering a service to people, and I used my blogs and industry knowledge to promote and market that skill.

Each time I posted with the intention of attracting new leads, building trust with my customers, and improving my brands reputation.

Google then rewarded this behavior by ranking my site higher and showing my posts to more users.

Why you should be blogging:

2021 is the year of the entrepreneur. Quarantine showed us the joys and luxuries of a more relaxed lifestyle, sparking a mass exodus from the office and into self-employment opportunities.

But with new levels comes new devils, as you embark on this new journey you must consider who your clients will be, and how you will attract them.

And there is no one way to do this, many business owners rely on a number of techniques from cold calling, referrals, flyers, pop up shops, social media and even paid advertisments, each of which have been known to successfully help your business grow.

However, in the digital age business owners must begin utilizing the tools set before them with intentionality and focus to make a true splash in the industry. Yes, i am speaking of the blog!!

Blogging refers to writing, photography, and other media that's self-published online. Blogging started as an opportunity for individuals to write diary-style entries, but it has since been incorporated into websites for many businesses.

What is Business Blogging?

The more pages your website has, the more chances you have to rank in search engines. The problem is, you don't just want to throw up random web pages all over your site. That would be a terrible user experience, and your site would quickly become a total mess. Business blogging is a solution to that conundrum. Every time you post a new blog post on your website, you have a new web page on your website, and it's all housed under your blog so your website doesn't get cluttered with pages here, there, and everywhere.

So, every time you publish a blog post and create a new web page, you create one more opportunity for your site to rank in search and appear for the queries people are entering into search engines.

You can apply this logic to other digital channels, too. For instance, every time you publish a new blog post, it's one more opportunity for someone to share that post on social media, getting it out in front of a new audience. It's also one more opportunity for another site to link to your post, giving you some great SEO juice.

In short, business blogging is a low-cost way to create opportunities to get your website found by the people that you want to find it, so you can generate new leads and customers for your business.

Here is how it works:

  1. You write a blog- something valuable that your audience wants to know, offer the right keywords, and publish online

  2. Google scans the document and considers you a relevant source in this field

  3. Your website becomes a top search result

  4. Clients read your post, and classify you as a industry expert

  5. You post again (and again, and again, and again), clients gain trust and seek your services.

What if writing isn’t my strong point?

Blogging is often about writing valuable content, even business owners who are fairly good writers simply don’t have the time. So, how can you still capitalize on blogging?

Hire a blog/ content writer- a blog can cost anywhere between 49$ to 150$ and can be charged based on post or word count. Many business owners take this route to save time and get the best results ( this is a service I offer, learn more here) This is because blog writing is highly technichal you need to know how to use google analytics, SEO and keywords to get more clients interested in your business.

Create Video Content- less writing involved here. You will need to write out descriptions and a heading but not nearly the 700-1000 words needed for a blog post. You will also benefit from the video format, as many content consumers prefer this method. Video content is a great way to get more clients interested in your business.

Create a picture blog- this option is wonderful for photographers or even designers who want to find more clients. They can publish their photos as a blog post and cultivate more interest around their work
