8 keys to Success According Nipsey Hussle

8 principles of Success According to the late Nipsey Hussle that all entrepreneurs can use

Nipsey Hussle clearly understood an aspect of the music business many aspiring artists can learn from. From Gangs to grammy’s, his name, Hussle, is more than fitting. So, when Robert Kenner’s book , The Marathon DOn’t Stop: The Life and Times of Nipsey Hussle was released, I was more than curious to learn how he migrated from Neighborhood Nip of the Rolling 60’s to Grammy Award Winning Artist. What I found was 8 core principles that can be applied to an entrepreneur of any industry. Keep reading to see what they are, and how you can integrate them into your brand

-Cast a strong brand image to the world.

Maybe you can’t go on tour, or it just isn’t reasonable to do so, but an artist website - highly recommend Houston Based Designer, Brianca Jay coupled by press runs, an active social media presence across socials, and regularly released updates can generate you a strong fan base and increase your brand visibility.

-Solidify your voice, and invest in your community.

Ask yourself who you are? Who does your product/services speak to? Identify the pain points and what it is your audience needs. Speaking to the hood? Offer hope. Speaking to the business minded, speak about success. So on and so forth.

-7 days a week the marathon.

It is an indisputable fact that Nipsey worked hard for what he wanted. And the idea of the marathon speaks to the process. It's not a short race, so even when it seems long and complicated, be sure to take the extra lap.

-Maintain your Core Values.

For Nipsey Hussle, Independence and  entrepreneurship remained at the core of his mission and his brand. That message resonated through his music, interviews, and merch lines. This became a vital part of his brand identity.

- Be driven by financial and creative motives.

All Money in No Money out was a tagline Established by the late rapper which spoke to his financial obligations towards his brand. -Meaning he was willing to invest in himself no matter what, all his money will go into his personal success and ensuring that he reaches his dreams. Furthermore, it spoke to his creative mission that his motives were to create on his own terms and to keep his Integrity. In order to do so he was willing to invest his own money rather than to sell or compromise his personal Integrity. Nipsey is quoted to say, I will never say something I don't agree with or believe in. Even if the reward was a Massive. The artist was known to Celebrate creative Integrity overall

-Secrets of success= an aggressive throttle approach

one of the things that inspired me most about Nipsey Hussle is his ability to believe in himself. Within the book, The Marathon Don’t Stop: The Life and Times of Nipsey Hussle by Robert Kenner , we learned that Nipsey was known to illegally dub and sell software like Photoshop, Final Cut and other highly requested computer software in order to continue to push his dream forward. He had no issues with working street corners, selling T-shirts, selling weed, or doing whatever was necessary to reach his end goals. The artist was aggressive with his approach to his vision, which ultimately led to his grammy-nominated success.

-“If I can't get money with you, it's f*** you”

Nipsey Hussle believed that money was collaborative, he also believed that who he sat with should be beneficial to his overall growth. In business, he didn't spend time forcing  believers. the offer was on the table, if you accepted it that was great, if not well f*** you. In business you will take No’s but you cannot dwell on the No’s f*** then move on.

-“Noone can stop what I am doing, but me and God,”

Nipsey Hussle spoke about a strong relationship with God and his belief. He didn't compromise his morals and respect because he had a firm foundation on what he believed in. In business and in life, ensure that you believe in something or you'll fall for anything.

That's it, that's the 8 core principles that contributed to Nipsey Hussle’s success.  Which one of these resonated most with you?
